Time for the semester procrastination post while I'm suppose to be working my ass off. I call it my SPPWISTBWMAO.

I need monies to watch 'em movies n play some games. I'm stoked to play some RE4 and Paper Mario. Until then ZM is entertainment galore with 'em....zombies n such.

I can't even write a procrastinating rant properly. Man this essay is going to suck...

I have a theory:

Those that scrutinize video games for promoting violence have the intelligence of a gnat.

At first I thought it was a political stunt to create a public panic over a common product. Though that argument has been argued to death (disproved) by academics and assorted experts that don't have particularly deep pockets I find myself noticing a constant in this discourse.

I say this as I finally stumbled upon the CSI: Miami episode concerning a group of violent teens out of touch with reality (where have I heard that one before?), thinking that life is like a violent game that they constantly played. At which point they gain access to SMG's, schematics for crime labs, and what seems like an uncanny ability to use clickers.

Clickers you say? Well apparently they were ranking up points for what they did. These points were along the margins of the hundreds to thousands. Plot hole #1: How the fuck can teenage kids wielding SMG's click 5000 times while gaining more "points" in their little game?

Plot hole #2: How the fuck can the Miami crime lab, which STORES EVIDENCE for high profile crimes be infiltrated by two, that's right TWO, teenage boys with SMG's? With little to no resistance until they are up close and personal with UNARMED lab technicians that run the place? Hell if it was so easy to break in every major crime lord or gang would get off free by throwing a Molotov cocktail into the evidence locker!

Plot hole #3: Seeing as how the children were mimicking events in the game, a CSI was forced to play through the game in order to see what their next step would be. Apparently he sucks so much he can't get past level 2. So he struggles and struggles throughout the episode to make it to the next level, only to discover the next place that's going to be attacked his the crime lab! DUN DUN DUN! Ever heard of walkthroughs buddy? It's a neat little text file you can access online, that tells you what's going to happen next. Also, ever heard of dev tools in your console? It's what developers use to help them access various parts of the game so they can test it.

Plot hole #4: Where the hell are they getting their SMG's? Oh look! The game developer himself supplied them with it as a publicity stunt! Why? Because video games are a "competitive market" hence he needs a little punch. Well if your game didn't suck so much you wouldn't have to! But that's not the plot hole. The plot hole is how at no point do they actually do CSI work. The only evidence they seem to have collected from the first crime scene was scuff marks from someone's sneakers that has rollers on them. This is CSI? You don't trace where the guns could've been purchased from? Search for bullets? Call out an APV for the getaway car? Interrogate the parents?! The only interesting thing they did was analyze a mask they discovered later, and compared its facial features with prospective suspects. Other than that it's "OH NOES VIDJAMAGAMES ARE BAD! LAWL!!! I WRITE FER HOLLYWERD!!!"

Morons can only write these things...
